bronze resin Cat looking back

What was that you said, did I hear cream mentioned ? It must have been because nothing else would have taken me away from a very important wash. At  least that’s what I imagine is going through the head of my Cat looking back

Dogs and Cats

When I make dogs and cats, and I have both, I make them in the poses we are all familiar with, and which are common to all breeds. I’m sure that any pet owner will recognise something of their cat or dog in the sculptures I make. People often buy my work because it reminds them of their pet. I do not make specific breeds except by commission. Bronze resin dogs and bronze resin cats are also popular as presents and gifts for pet lovers.

Cats

The domestic cat, Felis catus, is a small, typically furry, carnivorous mammal. They are often called house cats when kept as indoor pets or simply cats when there is no need to distinguish them from other felids and felines. Cats are often valued by humans for companionship and for their ability to hunt vermin. There are more than 70 cat breeds; different associations proclaim different numbers according to their standards.

Cats are similar in anatomy to the other felids, with a strong, flexible body, quick reflexes, sharp retractable claws, and teeth adapted to killing small prey. Cat senses fit a crepuscular and predatory ecological niche. Cats can hear sounds too faint or too high in frequency for human ears, such as those made by mice and other small animals. They can see in near darkness. Like most other mammals, cats have poorer colour vision and a better sense of smell than humans. Cats, despite being solitary hunters, are a social species and cat communication includes the use of a variety of vocalisations (mewing, purring, trilling, hissing, growling, and grunting), as well as cat pheromones and types of cat-specific body language. In comparison to dogs, cats have not undergone major changes during the domestication process, as the form and behaviour of the domestic cat is not radically different from those of wildcats and domestic cats are perfectly capable of surviving in the wild. Fully domesticated house cats often interbreed with feral F. catus populations. This limited evolution during domestication means that hybridisation can occur with many other felids, notably the Asian leopard cat. Several natural behaviours and characteristics of wildcats may have predisposed them for domestication as pets. These traits include their small size, social nature, obvious body language, love of play and relatively high intelligence.

I try to offer some different sculptures every year. The bronze resin animal sculptures have proved to be very popular as they are affordable and easy to send and I am continually adding to the range

Resin Bronze Sculptures

When I make a sculpture I particularly like, I Have it moulded and cast in Bronze Resin. A process that creates an attractive and durable alternative to real bronze. The bronze resin animal sculptures have proved to be very popular as they are affordable and easy to send and I am continually adding to the range. My work is also available in galleries, mainly in the Westcountry.
